The Oyster Bay station, located at the intersection of Shore and Maxwell Avenues in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, approximately 32.9 miles from Long Island City, was the eastern terminus of the LIRR Oyster Bay Branch. Its (restoration) station is one of the last romantic Tudor Revival–style historic depots (rebuilt in 1902), dating back to June 24, 1889, which today is being restored as part of the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum. There is a contemporary, high-level, concrete, four-car, side platform, for the south track for boarding and a north siding to a seven-track yard beyond.

Amenities consist of free parking, ADA accessibility (with ramps and tactile strips), ticket vending machines, and a sheltered waiting area but without ticket office or staffed ticket sales. Steps from Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and a walkable distance to downtown Oyster Bay, features such as Raynham Hall Museum, waterfront dining, and landmarks. It remains one of the last LIRR terminals to still be served by diesel trains, though peak-hour direct service to Penn Station has been introduced here after few decades.
